In today’s world, bookings for services, events, accommodation, flights, etc. are carried out online on various websites or applications. These transactions can be performed directly at the merchants’ website or application, with some being more user-friendly than others.

In this assignment, you are to assess and compare one closely similar online booking carried out directly on two different merchant websites or applications. Some examples (not limited to the following) are:

i) Pan Pacific Vs Shangri-La (room booking)

ii) SIA Vs Scoot (flight booking)

iii) SISTIC Vs Ticketmaster (event booking)

iv) Golden Village Vs Cathay Cineplex (movie booking) You are not to access a third-party website or application for this.

The platform used can be either a computer or mobile device. Your assessment should cover the entire task flow to meet your intended objective of using the website or application for your selected transaction. Thus, describe the design of the website or application, and explain the design principles used at each step.

While your evaluation should largely be based on usability and human-computer interaction, you can also discuss your points based on cognitive ergonomics and display design principles.

You are to identify good design features and shortcomings, compare the usability or user-friendliness of the websites or apps, and conclude which is the better design between the two
