1. Being employed by Thunder (Singapore), South-East and South Asia Regional Head Office, you are required to provide a proposal to help solve the problem and perhaps, help improve Thunder (Singapore)’s position in the Group.

(Hints: On top of the objectives, do some research on

• Electronics, semiconductor and automotive (including OEM and aftermarket) industries, especially on the supply chain management and value proposition approach.
• Asian countries involving the mentioned industries
• Lean manufacturing and concept used in these industries
• Merger and acquisition, Joint Venture, Offshoring, Outsourcing, etc.
• Broadening revenue streams from upstream or downstream of the value chain
• Government treaties and incentives on taxes and relieves on selected location(s) for expansion
• Transfer price and organizational structuring setting that can help create value)

It is more general than past sample test papers as it is now a take-home assessment. It would be like an assignment given by your boss who does not give you all details. More content and analysis is expected when comparing with past sample papers.

2. Create a simple scenario with self-created figures to demonstrate and explain how backflush accounting with control points of I and III can be used.
