You are a contractor company which has recently been awarded a contract for the design and construction of a housing project to house 10,000 persons on an island away from mainland Singapore. The structure is to have both Residential cum Commercial facilities.
The client wants to build this on a fast-track basis without any accidents and with emphasis on Sustainability, Water conservation and Green Mark. Stages for construction of this project are:

Report Preparation
(a) Demonstrate your understanding of this assigned task by applying the project management knowledge and develop your report under the following phases:
- Initiation phase – Idea
- Public Feedback on project implementation
- Design phase – How it is to be done? Interfacing between disciplines, Design innovations & value addition
- Interfacing with Governmental agencies
- Implementation phase – Implementation
- Features that enable the building to be classified as the highest standards in Green Mark
- Public Safety and Environmental protection
- Follow-up phase – Maintenance / Defects resolution
- The reporting system within the organization executing the project
- Outline of your GBA team members and their diversity (in fields of work)
(b) You can apply the PMBOK Knowledge areas.
(c) The report should have a program of the project in MS Project and be reflective of the work. The program should be submitted as an attachment with between 15-30 activities.
Report
It should be in the form of a professional contractor report. Use the following title:
“Residential Project on an island”
