For this Literature Review Paper assignment, you will investigate the chosen topic by systematically reviewing the relevant academic literature. This is similar to writing what is called a “review article”. Though for this assignment your paper needs not be as in-depth or as extensive as a typical review article. This assignment helps you

1) demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the chosen topic by exploring a wide variety of relevant literature,

2) critically examine the quality of the literature related to the topic of interest,

3) communicate a synthesis of the relevant research literature relevant to the topic. This assignment addresses the following:

1) Understand core theoretical and methodological issues in the field of ageing;

2) Describe and apply key concepts and theories about social factors that influence the ageing process and life course of older adults;

3) Acquire the competence to identify emerging topics of importance for future basic research and applied practice.

4) The paper should focus on the following topic: How home-based technology can be used in elderly care?

5) Your literature review should cover literature published between 2010 and 2021.

6) The paper should review at least 10 scholarly articles, book chapters, books, or other academic work or reports (from governments or reputed organizations only).

7) Good examples of review articles can be found in the journals listed here (look for journals in anthropology or sociology)
