Scenario

Fieber-Medical Data Centre, is a company in Germany that works with healthcare research centers to access and verify batch data for use in trials and research. The on premise LAN at the headquarter has a web server hosting the company’s web site, www.ONPremise.org that provides information about the company to interested parties. The company subscribes to QWS Web Services for their cloud services. QWS Web Services uses static IP address in the internet.

Figure 1 shows the complete network topology for the assignment.
In the assignment, you will configure the following:
-the DNS server of the Internet Service Provider (ISP)
-the On-premise LAN at Fieber-Medical Data Centre headquarter and
-QWS Web Services cloud network, which is using two of eight equal size subnets, interconnected using Router1.

QWS Web Services Cloud Subcentre C1 has a web server with the application details (www.CIApplication.com). Likewise, Subcentre C2 has a web server (www.C2List.com) with a list of cloud services for subscribers.

The “Internet” cluster is a collection of network devices that have been pre-configured, and should not be modified. The “Internet” is responsible for issuing WAN IP address to the respective routers and the DNS server is responsible for domain name resolution requests from all its DNS clients.

The On-Premise LAN’s wireless router obtains a dynamic WAN IP address from the “Internet” DHCP server when it is connected to the internet, hence the records in the DNS server need to be updated every time the WAN IP address changes. This can be done by the “Dynamic DNS” (DDNS) feature of the wireless router. However, since the DDNS feature is not activated in Cisco Packet Tracer, the updating of DNS record will be done manually in this assignment.
