Introduction
From the Unit Information and Learning Guide:
You will be given a case study to analyse during the course of the unit. You
are required to collect available web data and conduct secondary online
research to construct a report on your findings. This must provide a context
for understanding the data and include a set of strategic recommendations
based on the data available. The organisation listed below is not a real client
for the purpose of this assignment so please do not contact them directly.
Instructions
The case study is ‘Worldwide Seasonal Influenza Digital Communication for Prevention’. There are a number of organisations that operate in the context of this issue and the focus for this report is the government department in your country that is responsible for population health (i.e., for Singapore, this would be the Ministry of Health).
Your task is to research the issue and source relevant web data from organisations such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and undertake further secondary research as necessary (social media platforms, other websites in the issue arena, Google Trends, etc), and construct a report that explains and interprets the data for the organisation, aiming to provide recommendations on how they might improve digital communication (including social media and websites) for their target audiences. It is up to you to decide which target audience/s will be the focus of your report.

Your report will include a detailed data analysis, data visualisation, and a set of recommendations.
Your report should be divided into the following key sections:
1. Overview o In your own words, provide a brief overview of the case study o Provide any contextual information relevant to understanding the role and function of the organisation.
- Explain and briefly summarise the purpose of this report.
2. Data analysis o Identify and explain the types of web data you have collected.
- Interpret the web data you have collected.
- Employ visualisation to explain the data
- Analyse and explain the significance of what the data is showing
3. Recommendations o Evaluate and explain any limitations associated with the data and how it might affect the interpretation by audiences.
- Develop a set of recommendations based on your analysis of the data (up to a maximum of 5 recommendations)
4. References
- A full list of sources that you have cited within your report, in
alphabetical order

- This section is not marked but is where you can include further information that does not fit into your formal report
