Prepare a report that reviews the current understanding and treatment of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children of primary school age. The main body of the report shall:
(a) Explain the defining features of ADHD. The inspection must elaborate on:
i. At least THREE (3) attention-deficit and THREE (3) hyperactive symptoms;
ii. Prevalence across the world and in Singapore;
iii. THREE (3) co-occurring psychological disorders;
iv. Co-occurring educational struggles and;
v. Gender disparity.
(b) Discuss the biological factors of ADHD. This analysis must be grounded on journal articles that examine:
i.Heritability statistics from identical twins and parent-child dyads;
ii. Abnormalities in TWO (2) brain structures and;
iii. Abnormalities in ONE (1) neurochemical and ONE (1) hormone.

(c) Explain the relevance of psychological interventions for primary school-going children with ADHD.
The examination must review suitable journal articles to describe two different therapy programmes that address the behavioural and educational difficulties that the target group exhibits.
(d) Apply critical thinking by highlighting FOUR (4) ways in which social workers can support children with ADHD and their parents.
This report shall be evidence-based. Of note, its main discussion shall be supported with at least 10 journal articles that are published in the last 15 years.
