SECTION A

In your team, craft THREE one page reports, one on each of the following topics:

1. The Agricultural Revolution increased agricultural production worldwide and
prevented starvation in many developing countries. In this OPR, use real examples to debate the environmental impacts of the Agricultural Revolution.

2. A hydrogen fuel cell is a relatively new source of energy. However, its use has been projected to grow exponentially. In this OPR, explain the advantages and challenges faced in using a hydrogen fuel cell as an energy source.

3. Despite the fact that there are several reports on the impacts of climate change, there are still sceptics. In this OPR, apply your research skills to find examine the reasons for scepticism. Apart from scientific reasons, you may discuss reasons such as politics, psychology, education, etc.

SECTION B

The world population could reach 9.7 billion in 2050 according to the United Nation’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs and this may have a tremendous impact on the sustainability of the earth. Write a report to examine and explain the technologies and/or innovations that are used to reduce the negative impacts on sustainability.

You are to discuss the technologies/innovations in the FOUR areas of energy, agriculture, pollution and water. The discussion must include ONE REAL CASE for EACH area. Your claims must be backed up with evidence and references.
