“Cities have long been a major setting, force, and reason for much of human
activities and affairs. In our contemporary lives, cities and their urbanism
continue to play an influential role in mediating our social interactions, relations, and experiences. Consider what you think would be the three most significant topics of urban sociological interest, and engage in an analytical discussion of the urban through its status as the political, economic and/or cultural heart of our contemporary societies.”
