Monica is 45-year-old mother of two who used to be a CFO of a startup technology firm. She was generally physically active and was often found to be working late nights. Two years ago, Monica was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and had to undergo a mastectomy. Given the recent events, Monica took a break from work and only recently plucked up the courage to return to work. Describe some of the psychosocial issues that Monica may face/ have faced from the time of diagnosis till date.

After returning to work but this time round as a senior director of finance at a multinational corporation, Monica picked up smoking from her fellow colleagues to deal with the stressors she faced at the office. Using the health belief model, explain Monica’s smoking behaviour. Examine all the components of the model and how it is applicable to Monica’s context.
Question 3
Given the stressors that Monica face, develop an intervention to help her overcome her smoking habit. Propose practical strategies and use evidence-based strategies to guide your intervention.
