Develop your understanding of social psychology in the real world as you search news databases in order to identify two news articles with themes relevant to the psychological concepts mentioned by Ong and Ong (2023). The context of your articles need not be the one referenced by these authors, i.e., they do not have to feature the Israel-Hamas conflict, and they should respectively allow you to examine:

• an opinion aligned with at least two psychological concepts brought up by Ong and Ong; as well as
• an opinion that contradicts or disagrees with at least one of the psychological
concepts from Ong and Ong.

In terms of your essay, you shall first describe and explain the psychological concepts within Ong and Ong (2023) relevant to social psychology or social phenomena. Following this, you are to apply theories of social psychology to discuss the coherence of your articles (i) with Ong and Ong, as well as reconcile the difference of opinion between your articles (ii) and the required reading.

Overall, your final essay shall convey how you analyse the applicability of social psychology concepts across three news pieces, Ong and Ong (2023) included, to the real world and explore the implications of these concepts in our daily lives.
