Over the years, Singapore has been faring relatively well in various research studies on corruption control, such as the Corruption Perceptions Index, Worldwide Governance Indicators, and Freedom of Corruption Index. Nevertheless, one has to be cognisant that corruption still exists significantly in Singapore and the city-state should further strive to do better in corruption control.

• Anti-corruption measures are derived and implemented from various angles, with legal and administrative paths being two of them. For each of these two angles, discuss two areas where Singapore may be relatively inadequate in anti-corruption measures, as compared to many other countries. Your answer should compare relevant country practices with specific evidence given, and also suggest why each area of inadequacy stated remains present and not removed in Singapore.
• Foreign corruption is a rising global concern. Analyze two reasons why more people around the world are now seeing a need to pay stronger attention to the combat against foreign corruption.
