In recent decades operations managers faced various problems such as inventory stockouts, late deliveries, and quality problems. Therefore, it is imperative to know the current and future trends in Operations Management and the challenges it faces in near future with an emphasis on the Singapore context. In this assignment, you are required to conduct a literature review of an underlying trend in operations management. Below table shows a list of main areas that you can investigate current trends and challenges in Operations Management:

2. Current and future status of the chosen trend/challenge in Singapore.

Some of the suggested questions: a. How and why do you think the chosen trend in Singapore might or might not be different from other countries?

b. What are the implications of the trend/challenge for Singapore?

c. Support your argument with secondary data, government/industry reports, etc.

3. Developing and using tables, figures, and graphs to summarise the past research on the chosen topic
