With regard to this, the development of management and leadership skills and capabilities should form an integral part of HR strategy and practice and a key element of the learning and development strategy of an organisation. In order to carry out LMD effectively, one needs to better understand the concept of leadership and management development to enhance organisational performance
a) Critically analyse the key concepts of learning, development, education and training in leadership and management development context and recommend one learning and development intervention for an experienced middle manager who is going to be promoted to a senior level.
