A high-level US delegation is visiting Singapore next month. They are especially interested to find out the impact of Covid-19 on Southeast Asian economies. Singapore is their first stop.

You are from the Ministry of Manpower. Your boss has asked you to prepare for the coming briefing to the delegates. The topic of the session is on “Has Covid-19 been a great distress for workers?” You are collecting background information now.

The first two selected articles will cover the Singapore context only. The third article must cover a Southeast Asian country other than Singapore. The third article provides an opportunity for you to compare and contrast the experiences, manpower policies, and practices in different countries.
