Question Essay: For ‘The Coffin is Too Big for the Hole’, you will discuss in a brief essay your interpretation of the play and relate it to contemporary Singapore society. That is, you are to explain what you think the play means in the social context of modern Singapore by citing specific examples from the text. Your interpretation should follow the course guidelines on performing a close reading analysis and writing a brief summary of the narrative.
