The purpose of this ECA is for you to apply and reflect on what you have learned from this module using innovations of technology to create a senior-friendly and conducive environment to support their needs.

Your selection of the technologies shall be applicable in a home setting that is aligned with Singapore’s blueprint on Ageing-in-place. Seniors could enjoy healthy living facilities and senior-friendly communities across the island. They will be provided with access to health care that is both affordable and of high quality. Singapore has established itself as a Smart Nation with a robust digital infrastructure that can support the vision of Smart Home. The 50 telecommunication network has been rolled out progressively since 2020.

Against the backdrop of such technology investment and changing social dynamics, there are many new initiatives and incentives to inspire a plethora of leading-edge and personalized technological applications. In the assignment, you are encouraged to exploit a “High Tech and High Touch” approach in explaining how technology can empathize with the target group of seniors staying with caregivers by developing a holistic care approach that covers the mental, physical health, and independence of seniors.

The technological innovations proposed shall benefit the target of seniors. In this course, we have presented a wide range of green-technologies both locally and globally. Many countries around the world have taken bold and accelerated steps to quicken the pace of technology trials and implementations to keep up with their aging societies.

In the light of the COVID-1 9 pandemic, the impetus for rapid developments of technology is further intensified to manage the continuum of health care and well-being of seniors. Please identify three technologies in your assignment with three literature articles from your review to support the selection of these technologies. It is important for you to show how two theories of gerontechnology acceptance can be applied to assess the effectiveness of the home needs of the target group.
