Question 1: Do a detailed report on domestic (SGD) currency, money market rates & its structure, covering the following:

• Currency regime
• Interest rates administration by the central bank;
• Prevailing interest rate policy;
• Inter-bank SGD interest rates (if necessary, up to 36 months);
• Any other relevant materials to illustrate the importance of SGD interest rates as a monetary tool.

Question 2: Choose the second currency of your own interest and do a similar detailed report on currency regime, money market rates & its structure, covering the following:

• Current Discount rate (if any) administered by the central bank;
• Prevailing interest rate policy;
• Inter-bank interest rates (if necessary, up to 36 months);
• Any other relevant interest rates related study to illustrate its importance.

Question 3: Show the yield curves of both currencies in ONE chart to show comparison, with description and explanation where necessary.

Question 4: Using the inter-bank interest rates of both currencies, compute the swap rates (up to 12-month); use a table to consolidate rates where appropriate.

Question 5: Using the swap rates in part (4), work out the outright rates.

Question 6: Explain how these rates are used in hedging.
