PART I: Research and Analysis
A) Guidelines for Research
1. Examine at least three instructional leadership skills needed by a
principal/supervisor of an early childhood setting to be able to work with a team of teachers of varying skills and knowledge.
2. Interview three teachers from an early childhood setting(s) to determine their thoughts and actions regarding the instructional leadership roles executed by their leader(s).
3. Prepare six or seven questions for the interview with the 3 selected teachers.
4. Attach the questions and replies of the respective interviewees as Annex 1, 2 & 3 in the submission of the project.
5. Please note that Annexes 1, 2 & 3 do not count as part of the required analysis of the responses gathered from the interview questions.
B) Guidelines for Analysis.
1. Write a paper (1200 words) discussing your findings of the instructional skills of principals/supervisors and how they may influence teachers’ execution of their roles.
2. Include a reflective section in your paper about the findings based on the interviews with the teachers.
3. Remember to view rubrics to ensure all components are addressed.
PART II: Presentation
A) Guidelines for Presentation
1. All individuals are required to do a 5-minute presentation on a brief summary of their interview findings to the class followed by a 5-minute question and answer session.
2. The presentation should include the use of instructional technology.
