Apply the specified translation techniques and translate the following sentences into English. In a separate paragraph, briefly explain how you have used the translation techniques in your translation. (8 marks for each question: 6 marks for Translation; 2 marks for explanation)

SECTION B

Apply any THREE of the translation techniques that you have learnt to translate the following sentence into English in THREE DIFFERENT ways. Briefly explain the translation techniques you have used and how you have applied them in each of your three translations. (6 marks for each translation [3 translations = 18 marks]; 2 marks for each explanation [3 explanations]

Identify TWO problems in the following translated paragraph and comment on the problems. In so doing, you may need to recall relevant concepts or cite appropriate strategies. Provide an improved translation of the entire passage, which should include all possible improvements in addition to correcting the two problems you have highlighted.
