You have been hired as a business consultant to a business organization in
Singapore of your choice. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of that organization has directed you to conduct a training workshop for the staff to provide them with the knowledge and skills relating to the key concepts of business strategy. Prior to the training workshop, your task is to prepare and submit a report to your CEO that covers the following areas.

Task

• Identify and discuss the key stages of the strategic planning process.
• Using the VRIO framework, analyze the resources and capabilities in your selected organization that give it a sustained competitive advantage.
• Analyze Porter’s generic strategies and recommend a strategy that can be
  implemented for your selected organization.
• Using an appropriate theory or method critically evaluate the main reasons for the failure of selected strategies.
