DSWSHMC2 Project Individual Assignment 

1. This project is an individual assignment. The assignment requires each student to prepare a Bomb Threat Incident Management plan for installations / facilities currently under threat based on the security situation in Singapore. The objective of this assignment is to evaluate student’s understanding / application of the knowledge and skills acquired in this module.

2. The detailed requirements for the individual project are given in the attached exercise scenario. The student will be assign to prepare a detailed Bomb Threat Incident Management Plan.

3. A written submission of the project paper and attachments are required. The written papers must be submitted to the lecturer on the agreed date as briefed by the lecturer.

4. This project assignment carries a weightage of $60\%$ of the total marks, which will be computed towards the final assessment of the students for this module.

5. A detailed and viable Bomb Threat Incident Management Plan is to be developed covering the following areas:

c. The Company and the Bomb Threat
d. The Company Strategy in Minimizing Risks of and Dealing with Bomb Threats

PROJECT ASSIGNMENT RULES

Assignment Referencing

Students are formally advised that the only acceptable practice allowed in relation to providing referencing at the end of an assignment, essay or research paper is a list of references that have been cited in the assignment, essay or research paper. Students may title this ‘Reference List’ or ‘Bibliography’ but this list will only include cited references. This means that students should not include in their reference list / bibliography any material that is not clearly cited in the body of their assignment.

Plagiarism

Students should familiarise themselves with scholarly conventions regarding sources and their acknowledgment. Plagiarism, the unacknowledged use of the work of others, is not tolerated and a range of disciplinary measures is in place for sanctioning this. A student shall not plagiarise in any type of assessment.

Plagiarism is the act of taking and using another person’s work as one’s own. Where plagiarism occurs in items of assessment contributing to the result in a unit, it shall be regarded as, and treated in the same manner as, cheating in an examination. For the purpose of these rules any of the following acts constitute plagiarism unless the work is appropriately acknowledged:

• directly copying any part of another person’s work
• summarising the work of another person
• using or developing an idea or thesis derived from another person’s work
