Assignment Overview:

You are to review a company (of your choice) listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange by using ratio analysis techniques and to write a report to answer to the following case:

A current shareholder is contemplating whether to continue investing in the company. The shareholder has asked you to provide a report on the profitability, liquidity, asset efficiency, and investment ratios of the company.

You are required to advise the shareholder and give your recommendation.

In your report, give an in-depth and/or critical analysis, supported by the ratios computed for the 2 years. Include a discussion of the business sector, economic environment, and any other information that may assist the shareholder in making his/her decision.

You are to compute the ratios following the table below for 2 years and submit a 2,000-word (+-10%) analysis of your findings. Your analysis may include other ratios not found in the table. 3rd-year data may be required to assist in computing the relevant averages.

 Your report should consist of:

• a short introduction including a brief background of the company,
• the main body structured into the following headings:
  • Profitability
  • Liquidity
  • Efficiency
  • Investment
• and a summarised conclusion/recommendation.
