Autism, also known as an autism spectrum disorder, can be considered a complex condition that incorporates issues with behaviors and communication. It also includes a wide range of skills that can be overcome with the help of special care. In most cases, it can be seen that people are suffering from autism face problems in communication.

They face trouble in understanding the feeling and thinking of others. As a result, it creates hurdles for them in expressing themselves with words, even through touch, facial expression, and gestures. Children suffering from autism find it difficult to even communicate non verbally through eye contact or hand gestures.

As per the views of Mesa-Greta et al, some children dealing with ASD face an inability in communicating with the use of language or speech. On the other hand, some others have a limited number of speaking skills. It can also be seen that a few children can deliver rich vocabularies in a specific subject. The rhythm and the meaning of sentences and words even create difficulties for others to communicate.

The difficulty in understanding the body language and vocal tones of others set barriers for the children to communicate effectively. The rigid and repetitive languages that are used by the children while continuing conversation with others make no sense.
