ANL201 End-of-Course Assessment 

Instruction to Students

1. This End-of-Course Assessment paper comprises 4 pages (including the cover page).

3. Late submission will be subjected to the marks deduction scheme. Please referto the Student Handbook for details.

Section A (100 marks)

Answer all questions in this section.

Question 1

For the given dataset, produce a table that identifies and justifies the data type (nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio) for each variable. Compute the relevant summary statistics (number of observations, mean, median, mode, minimum, maximum and standard deviation) as applicable as per the data type, for all the variables. Present the answer in tabular format.

Question 2

Inspect the data for quality issues and prepare the data using appropriate treatment methods. Explain the data quality issues identified and treatment methods applied with the aid of suitable screenshots.

Question 3

For the treated dataset, develop four (4) charts to visualise and explain the key patterns found in the data. Use each of the following features at least once:

• Reference line
• Parameters

Provide screenshots of the charts in your report.

Question 4

Using the charts created in Question 3, develop a business performance dashboard. Explain how your dashboard follows the Dashboard Design Principles. Provide a screenshot of your dashboard in the report. Set up two (2) relevant Actions (of different types) for advanced dashboard navigation so that users can perform some of the following tasks: filtering, highlighting, drilling down or navigating to an external HTTP link. Provide screenshots of the Action settings.
