The Thomson-East Coast MRT Line (TEL) was first announced on 25 January 2008 and was slated for opening in 2018 according to the Land Transport Masterplan. However, it was later pushed back to 2019, and again to January 2020. On 31 January 2020, TEL Stage 1 which comprises Woodlands North, Woodlands, and Woodlands South stations became fully operational. The line is operated by SMRT Trains Pte Ltd.

You are a project team member with SMRT Trains Pte Ltd. The management has requested you to provide a review report summarising the key ideas of project management and systems engineering relating to TEL Stage 1.

Based on sound academic framework acquired in this module, you should discuss the following:

• Identification and analysis of the stakeholders for TEL Stage 1
• Project schedule and project costing
• Identify any system within the MRT infrastructure (e.g. platform screen doors,
  train carriages, ticketing machine, entry/exit gantries, rail network, escalators, lifts, etc.) and elaborate on any two of the following:
  1. Needs Analysis and Requirements Definition
  2. System Architecture
  3. Tradespace Constraints and TRIZ
  4. Risk Management
  5. Integration, Verification, and Validation

Your report should have an introduction and conclusion and should be between 1000 – 1500 words. The word count should exclude the Cover Page, Executive Summary, Table of Contents, References, and Appendices.
