Scenario 2 (B2B/B2C)

A real or fictitious company which exports finished goods from a factory in one country and deliver it to a customer in another country.

The content of the report must contain the following.

• An introduction to the real or fictitious scenario as well as a set of reasonable assumptions among other relevant information such as the company, supplier, raw material or finished product, the countries, and business partners.
• With additional self-research, decide on an Incoterm (e.g. Ex-Work) for the scenario; providing a clear explanation, on the obligation, cost, and risk with reference to Incoterms 2020.
• With reasonable justification, decide on the use of air freight or ocean freight or a combination of both services for the international transportation of the cargo, as well as the relevant freight service terms.
• The above decision provides an illustration and explanations of the end to end international freight process and facilities involved using a flow diagram. Describe all relevant parties and equipment that will be involved in the international freight, including but not limited to the various logistics service providers.
• Describe and explain all considerations and requirements for the entire international freight transportation, including but not limited to various freight documentation.
• Where applicable in the scenario, describe and explain how consolidation, intermodal, or multimodal solutions could help save international freight costs and transit time. Any additional information from self-research will be helpful.
• Attach copies of the real or fictitious PDF documents, e.g. commercial invoice, certificates, airwaybill, bill of lading, permit, etc., in the appendix.
