Study Design and Variables

The study was cross-sectional, with all participants completing both the mental health assessments (BDI, BAI) and cognitive tasks.

• Beck Depression Inventory (BDI): Purpose: Used to determine the level of depression in the patient. Format: 21 questions. Score Range: 0-63 (the higher scores represent severe depression).
• Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI): Purpose: Assesses anxiety severity. Format: 21 questions. Score Range: 0-63 (the higher number represents more severe anxiety).

Procedure: Participants completed the BDI and BAI followed by cognitive tasks assessing attention, memory, and executive functioning. Performance data were collected in terms of accuracy and correct answer percentage.
