Learning Outcomes

In relation to the specialized area of study, students will, with minimal or no guidance be able to:

1. Identify and critically appraise organizational vision and advantage factors to inform and select strategies for the organization to thrive.
2. Critically evaluate strategies linked to responding to external environments (fit strategies) and contrast them to strategies linked to core competencies (stretch strategies).
3. Demonstrate the ability to design a viable strategy for an organisation, which takes account of the reality of strategic decision making and make appropriate recommendations.
4. Communicate effectively with specialist and non-specialist audiences difficult and/or complex concepts
