requires you to create a portfolio in demonstrating how data are processed, analyzed, visualized, and reported. This data is about Hotels in the Boston market, which are data provided by STR. The dataset includes monthly performance data by class, size, and location between 1990-2020 and daily performance data by class between 2015-2020. The main portfolio will include 5 sections, which are

Section 1: Understanding of the dataset

Section 2: Dataset processing

Section 3: Dataset analysis (Charts and graphs)

Section 4: Dataset visualization

The quantitative dataset for you to work on. You are required to work on the dataset week by week in line with the main steps taken in business analytics. You also need to search for qualitative data or any other information you think is appropriate for the purpose of the analysis to prepare for the portfolio.

The main body of the portfolio will include the following sections:

Section 1: Understanding of the dataset (2 pages maximum)
Explain the sources of the data, the types of data included in the dataset, and comment on the quality of the data.

Section 2: Dataset processing (2 pages maximum)
Demonstrate how different methods and techniques are decided and applied to prepare the dataset ready for analysis, e.g. how the dataset is cleansed, linked, and derived in order to achieve the purpose of the analysis.

Section 3: Data analysis (2 pages maximum)
Demonstrate how the dataset is analyzed, by explaining the approaches, techniques, and models adopted in the analysis, appreciating the alternative options, and justifying the appropriateness of the chosen analysis tools.

Section 4: Data visualization (2 pages maximum)
Demonstrate how different types of visualizations are decided and applied to present of the analysis and justify why the chosen visualizations, techniques, and tools are the most appropriate for the purpose of the analysis.

Section 5: Reporting (2-page maximum)
Write the final report. The report will explain the purpose of the analysis, the key findings from the analysis supported by the visualization, and any recommendations to managerial decision- making or solutions to the business problem as a result of the analysis
