Proposed construction of an 8-story Singapore Active Aged Homebuilding. Introduction This is a group-based assignment and students are to work in groups of 4 to 5. Assuming that your assignment group is part of the Main Contractor’s project team for this construction project of an 8-story Singapore Active Aged Home (SAAH) as shown below. Project costing and duration of S$20 million for 18 months (3 May 2022 to 30 Oct 2024) respectively. The approximate floor area of each floor is 1000 m2 and there are 3 lifts to install in the building. The following are some of the items that your team is tasked to perform as shown in the table: Your assignment must consist of: (I) Suitable and efficient types of precast/prestressed system (e.g. the productivity-enhancing technologies such as Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBU) and Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Components (PPVC) if applicable), construction and installation method and provide the usage of different types of equipment.
