In this module, student will create her own teacher portfolio. She will continue building the teacher portfolio throughout her career. It will consist of her personal beliefs about being an early childhood educator, reflections on one’s learning journeys, significant personal and professional changes and records of achievements. For this assignment,

1. Write her personal beliefs about being early childhood (EC) educator (50 words)
   1. Describe personal beliefs of what it means to be an early childhood educator.

Personal belief : Every child deserves a nurturing environment to develop his/ her potential

2. Note her self- discovery from the time she started with Diploma course until now (200 words)
   1. Describe what student has discovered from the beginning of the course until the current stage, about self, her learning and understanding of what it means to be an early childhood educator. This criterion assesses the student’s ability to describe with some depth about one’s discovery about self, knowledge and dispositions.

Any new beginning, will be tough and it gets better along the way. Knowledge acquired from both Child Development and Play as Curriculum modules have shaped my thoughts on a child develops progressively in stages and the importance of Play in their developmental milestones <need to elaborate further>

3. Chart developmental plan fro her personal and professional growth in relation to ECDA’s Continuing Professional Development framework and stages of professional development for early childhood educators (200 words)
   1. Chart her personal and professional development plan in relation to ECDA’s Continuing Professional Development framework and stages of professional development for early childhood educators. These criteria assess the students’ ability to plan for her own personal growth and professional development.

4. Write reflections on one’s learning about self, attributes and journey to become an EC educator (550 words)
   1. Description of reflections has detailed information of learning significant to the student.
