TASK

This assignment requires you to report on the management and control of safety hazards in your workplace. You are expected to report on three specific safety hazards of different hazard classifications such as Chemical, Physical, Ergonomic, Biological, etc. in the chosen workplace. The report should be written in such terms that a manager is reporting to the management on the reasonable actions required to control the hazard.

Your report should cover the following:

1. Introduction

2. For each of the hazard, discuss the following:

• A brief discussion on the hazard and its risk level
• Discuss any existing risk control measures
• What are the recommendation for management and control of the hazard (explain using the Hierarchy of Risk Controls concept)
• Convince the management and explain the rationale for the proposed action
• This should include clear legal, standards, moral and financial arguments.
• Suggest what are the likely resources required.
