LB5235: You are Required to Conduct a Number of Statistical tests to Generate Output via SPSS/PSPP: Applied Research Project Research Paper, JCU, Singapore

ASSESSMENT DESCRIPTION:

This practical assessment has two parts. For the first and following the instruction sheet, you are expected to create a data set in SPSS or PSPP (to whichever you have access) using the raw data provided. Then you must analyze this data statistically. Essentially, you are required to conduct a number of statistical tests to generate output via SPSS/PSPP. Save your results, copy and paste them into the instruction sheet, and comment/interpret your findings. (SPSS Data Analysis)

For the second part, your task will be expected to read the interview transcripts provided and perform content analysis. That is, you need to read the information/data over and find if there are some common themes among them. Ensure you leave enough time to do this task, it is not a ‘5-minute’ process. You may do this any method you choose. When you have finished the reading and the categorization, you need to write no more than a five-page report on what you have discovered. (Interview Analysis)

You’re going to write this up as you would in two sections of a research paper:

Methods (or Methodology) 

Here you describe exactly how you analyzed the data. What were your rules for determining categories, trends, or themes? How did you do the coding?

Results 

Here you talk about what you actually discovered. As they used to say in Dragnet, “Just the facts.” You can’t really interpret the data, or talk about what it means, as we didn’t start this with a research question or hypotheses.

NOTE:

It is recommended that students submit their data analysis assignment as one comprehensive PDF documents with two sections in the dropbox

Assessment 2 Data Analysis’. The two sections of the report will be as follows:

• Section 1 will include the Quantitative Data Analysis using SPSS.

A complete list of references for both sections should be included at the end of the document

• Section 2 will be the Interview data analysis part(no longer than 6 pages). Students may include an Appendix with detailed evidence of data analysis to support the main document.
