Background

DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development(Dev) and IT operations(Ops) in order to shorten the development life cycle and provide continuous delivery of software with high system quality.

You work in information technology (IT) development role for a medium-sized company called GLM Digital that specializes in delivering trading solutions. GLM Digitalcurrently uses an agile system development approach and believes that this has allowed them to develop systems more rapidly without compromising quality.

They are, however, aware that DevOps is becoming an increasingly popular approach to system development and believe that they should consider combining it with their current development approach.

You have been asked to investigate how the company can do that. The chief information officer would like you to produce a report that helps them to progress this change towards a greater emphasis on DevOps.To successfully complete this assignment, you should first identify and read resources that give you more understanding of DevOps.

You should then identify resources that discuss the integration of DevOpsandagile development (e.g. IT industry web sources, journals, and conference papers). Then create a report based on what you have found out. The report will be used internally at GLM Digital, so should be written in a style that will be accessible to IT professionals.
