COMP4104: Analyse the potential risk scenario, and propose a cyber-security posture for the organization: Cyber security Assignment, LSBF, Singapore

Task

As the initial assignment to your team of experts, the following list of tasks are handed over.
1. Analyse the potential risk scenario, and propose a cyber–security posture for the organization.

2. Considering the organization has to start with three different offices, propose a comprehensive cyber security installation.
This has to include the location of information and security appliances, and their connectivity.

3. In consideration of the proposed cyber security installation above, critically discuss the following
a. Usage of Private and Public key encryption, where each is applicable and
possible implementation options
b. Where and how to make use of Digital Signatures and Digital Certificates
c. Potential Malware and Threat analysis, with countermeasures. Specially highlighting the possible usage of Palo–Alto Wildfire system
d. A critical comparison of other contemporary firewall systems with the NGFW firewall system.
e. The potential for the usage of a Federated Identity management systems and possible implementation options.

4. Using the above proposed plan, conduct a risk assessment of the organization’s IT infrastructure and identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.

5. Based on the risk assessment, develop a cybersecurity incident response plan that includes the following components:
a. Procedures for detecting and identifying cybersecurity incidents
b. Guidelines for responding to cybersecurity incidents
c. Roles and responsibilities of the incident response team
d. Procedures for analyzing and containing the incident
e. Procedures for recovering from the incident
f. Post–incident review and reporting procedures
