Frank, an accounting lecturer and examiner at a local university, received
an email from one of his female students wanting to meet him to “discuss matters concerning her academic performance in his class”. Frank agreed to meet the student at a café near the university.

At the meeting, the student expressed her disappointment over her performance on the recent accounting exam and expected to get a failing grade from Francis. She proposed “offering something” to Francis in return for him giving her a passing grade on the exam. Francis suggested sex at a nearby hotel. She agreed, and they proceeded to the hotel and engaged in sexual activities, after which, Francis gave her a good grade for her accounting exam. Recently, the university found out about this and lodged a police report. Investigations are ongoing.

Sometime after that, one evening, Francis met some friends at a local beer garden where they proceeded to have some alcoholic beverages. They were served by a beer promoter. When the beer promoter was pouring a drink for one of his friends, Francis rubbed the behind of the promoter and said she had a “nice rump”.

Shocked, the promoter pushed his hand away and as she tried to get away from him, Francis held on to her arm and said he was just “trying to be friendly”. She demanded he let go of her arm, Francis refused, stood up, and pulled her closer to try to kiss her.
