Context

This module is intended for students to complete a major research project in the topic/field of media and communication. Students will be required to apply relevant theories and concepts in this field acquired during the time of their study as media and communication students.

You are ideally expected to build on the work or project proposed during the Research Design module in the previous term.

Your expected deliverable will include an original research paper grounded in media theories in an attempt to explore ongoing issues and debates surrounding the field of media and communication.

This module will test not only on your academic knowledge but also your ability to plan and apply forms of self-discipline in collating information and data. As such you are expected to take the initiative to consult your supervisor and make good of the consultation hours allocated to the course.
