Students are assigned to provide security recommendations for a new primary
school named New Bishan Primary School.

• The Architect has designed the following measures for the new primary
  school, which is located at Bishan Housing Estate and adjacent areas surrounded by HDB flats and vegetations:

1. Welded mesh fence for the perimeter.
2. Main Sliding Gate for vehicles, one side and back gate for pedestrians:
   a) The operating hours for Main Sliding Gate and Side Gate are (0630 – 1930) hrs.
   b) The operating hours for Back Gate are (0630 – 0830) hrs, (1200 – 1330) hrs. & (1730 – 1800) hrs.
3. The new school has two buildings with four and two floors each respectively. The space allocation for each building is as follow:
   i. 1st Building
   a) 4th floor – Classrooms, Teachers Room & Computer Server Room.
   b) 3rd floor – Classrooms & Music Room
   c) 2nd floor – Classrooms & Library
   d) 1st floor – Assembly & Sports Hall and M&E rooms
   ii. 2nd Building
   a) 2nd floor – Principal & Vice-Principal and Admin Office.
   b) 1st floor – School Canteen & Book Shop
4. Carparks Space for Staff and Visitors

• A risk assessment has already been conducted and a security risk level of
  Medium to High has been identified. Security mitigation measures should be
  based on the following threats.
  i. The following threats were identified for the risk assessment conducted:
  a) Internal Threat
  b) External Threat
• The project requires the student to prepare the following:
  Concept Plan proposing the security zoning and security measures for the new school based on the current security threat situation in Singapore and overseas.
• Consideration should be given to the operation of the facility when proposing
  security control measures. The control measures should not hinder the daily operation of the facility.
