Find a Recent article on Financial Development and Provide a Critical Evaluation of the Study: Finance Report, NUS, Singapore

Report Brief:

In this project, you will be required to find a recent article on financial development and provide a critical evaluation of the study. The paper must be different from those that have been reviewed in class.

Your task is to share with us what you have learned from the paper and to highlight the gaps and limitations of the study. You may also propose some ways to deal with those deficiencies.

•  You can select your article from some search engines such as Google Scholar and IDEAS/RePEc
• You can choose an empirical or a policy paper, but you should not choose a survey article such as Levine (1997)
• You should select a more recent article (published within the last 10 years); this would minimize the chance of picking up a topic that has been taught in class (note that working papers should not be used).
• You should select the paper from a decent journal (top 10% from the ranking list https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.journals.simple10.html); this would ensure that the chosen paper is of better quality.
