4. Appreciate and apply effective colour schemes separately for each of the perspective sketches as required by the TMA for maximum appeal.

In Specific,
1. With reference to the following Orthographic Projection drawing (Figure Q1-1).

(a) Analyse the given Orthographic Projection drawing carefully to ascertain the spatial arrangements of all three objects, paying attention to their physical dimensions and the physical spaces between them.
(b) An example of a common Isometric drawing is shown in Figure Q1-2

(c) Create an Isometric Projection drawing by hand without using any software, presenting all three objects in their spatial arrangement as shown in Figure Q1-1 in an isometric layout on a blank A4-sized Isometric Drawing paper in Portrait mode.
2. In addition to the Isometric drawing, produce the following Perspective sketches by hand, without using any software.
(a) 1-Point Perspective.
(b) 2-Point Perspective. You are free to choose any angle and elevation height for these sketches as long as it allows you to present the most information in a clear and appealing way.
3. For each of the perspective sketches, complete them by colouring/applying the following colouring schemes using methods familiar to you i.e., colour pencil technique, on all 3 objects in your sketches.
(a) 1-Point Perspective – the Triadic colour scheme.
(b) 2-Point Perspective – the Split-complementary colour scheme.
(c) All sketches should include Shades and Tints (shadow area and highlights) where appropriate for a 3-dimensional feel and cast shadows for depth to increase the overall aesthetic appeal of your sketches.
(d) All sketches must demonstrate effective sketching foundation skills i.e., Line Weight, Scale & Proportion and Values etc.
(e) Remember to label all Vanishing Points and the Horizon Line.
(f) Construction lines should be visible but lightly drawn while the main sketching lines should be thicker for visual distinction and clarity.
(g) Outline the main sketching lines with a fine marker pen for line contrast and clarity before submission.
